Project Description

The Rufiji River is the artery of the Selous Game Reserve – a wild and large reserve with a variety of game activities to choose from. Due to its remote location the Selous has remained one of the untouched gems of Tanzania’s parks. Boating excursions offer a chance to see the diverse life along the Rufiji river up close and walking safaris and fly camping add a real sense of adventure to the African experience which affords one the privilege of being intimate with mother nature…

The South of Tanzania is wilder and less visited than other parks. This is where I cut my teeth in Tanzanian wildlife – walking safaris in the Selous GR. Each day we would vary our walking route & I am certain of having walked in areas where no other European will have ever set foot before. This is how wild the South of Tanzania really is… The Southern Tanzania reserves are off the beaten track for most tourists to Tanzania; and this is the reason I love this region.

Wandering re-establishes the original harmony which once existed between man and the universe.
