Project Description

The lush tropical rainforest of Kibale National Park has one of the highest diversity and density of primates in Africa, tallying 13 species including more than 1,000 chimpanzees – our closest living relatives. In contrast to gorillas which usually don’t move a lot, Chimpanzees tend to move swiftly, either on the forest floor or in the canopies of the tree.

This forest is home to the greatest variety and highest concentrations of primates in East Africa. Kibale is one of the last remaining expanses to contain both lowland and Montane forests.

We wander for distraction, but we travel for fulfilment.
